Sunday Prompts (How Can I Not Care?)

How can I not care?

How can I forget what we share?

I was there,

You were there,

We walked mountains from here to there.

.

How can I make peace?

How can I rest at ease?

I was happy,

You were happy,

We have been partying ever since and feel jolly.

.

My heart hunger for peace,

My soul search for truth,

Time to talk about it,

Let’s stop worrying about it.

.

I want to be friendly,

You can also remain friendly,

Let’s enjoy life in verse,

Let’s fight against odds and curse.

Thursday Thinking Tank/Alphabe-Thursday (June Tune)

The republicans believe that

girls can rule,

Folks shall open their mind

and make politics cool.

.

The democrats believe that

Their party can do better,

as long as one is smart and kind,

background and races don’t matter.

.

Both parties are right

on defending their own side.

This poem is about American dreams

and some political schemes.

Float like a butterfly

Sting like a bee,

Unwind yourself under a tree.

.

To succeed

is to plant your own seed

and do live feed.

.

The food is ready,

Time to share with friend Teddy,

An opportunity to impress Daddy.

.

Void is hard to avoid,

Loneliness gets lost like glory

Falling through the grate of memory.

.

Facing missing epics

and a fugitive dream,

I hear your pen scream!

Sunday Prompts (Do join Poetry Potluck Today!)

Slipping through my fingertips

is time,

being always generous in paying tips

and making life rhyme,

Finally I took a vacation

in order to figure out some touchy situation.

If something is missing in life,

Maybe one shall redo the math to survive:

Rules are not made to rule,

but to keep things in order and cool;

Orders are not given to hurt

Thus one shall not get wet and mad;

No matter where you live,

Do stick to your personal belief;

Yet, gossiping about your peers is gross,

It is wise not to disrespect your boss.

A place may loss its grace

If none of the employees demonstrates faith;

A boss is a boss

You must come cross,

If you floss

If front of your boss,

You may get fired

and make a fuss…

Let go if you have to,

4 another opportunity may open up for you.

Getting over things is tough,

Yet I am ready to face anything, delicate or rough.

Short Story Slam Week 3 on Political Storm

Stormy clouds rage on PC

as politicians dream of presidency in Washington DC;

It’s election time,

Time to dig candidates’ sexual crime,

Heated debate,

Unpredictable fate;

News headlines,

It’s all about troublesome ones.

Planned picks,

Party tricks;

Voting booth,

Aged or youth;

Rainbow in the sky

as winners is announced, rainy or dry.

I Rode To Find You (Short Story Slam Entry 3)

I rode to find you, wind

howling, hurting my ears,

Shadows in front of me blaze the trial,

My head swimming.

.

I rode to see you, mind

blowing, two bottles of beers,

The footsteps behind me make dusty whirl,

My hands sweating.

.

I rode to chase you, blind

dating, hot sweet tears,

The horse beneath me follows my dreams,

what sight-seeing.
