Silent scream,
Isn’t what writers always do?
Hard to remain mainstream,
Silent scream,
A way to self-control as spotlight goes dim
and friends lose cool,
Silent scream,
Isn’t it what writers always do?
or write about bleeping sheep. smiles..
Silent screams, frozen grins,
keeping all troublesome thoughts within,
silent screams and self-control,
That’s what I set as my main goal.
Silent scream, isn’t that what all writers do? Excellent question and great poem.
Ditto Dan. And you have both written wonderful poems and asked just the right question. Well done.
Okay, I just have to ask about this “silent screaming” of poets and writers. I do NOT get this concept? Why aren’t writers/poets portrayed as joyous as we write/create?
The Serendipitous Oxymoron Maker, which will randomly pair up words into oxymorons, is useful for all to try and make up pairs of oxymoron…
check out NAPOWRIMO day 5 instruction, it is simply a word play.
not seriously..
Silent scream is at times the only solace in a world turned deaf and dumb. Good work!
We surely do!
Good work! :—-)
I never saw it that way. It makes me think and I like it!
I “silently scream” nearly everyday my muse is on strike!
So loud I hear you! Like it
“Hard to remain mainstream,
Silent scream,”
You have described my poetic career with these words. Excellent oxymoron and creative how you made it fit into a poem about poetry.
you are so so true. thats what we do and try to reach people.
You have named something I do rather frequently, although I hadn’t realised it till reading your poem
sorry, I’m a little slow this week!
