Alphabe-Thursday  (Disaster)

New York  Times Headline, April 29, 2011

http://www.nytimes.com/ : with 300 dead, a search for survivors,

The disaster hits my place

with unstoppable pace.

My house is wet,

My computer is dead,

My friends are gone,

No body answers my phone.

I sits on the roof alone,

Not knowing what’s wrong.

So sad,

So mad,

About this bad

Fate I have had!

Blogging feels like paradise
because of YOU, who is very wise!
It’s you
who filled this space with fresh air,
It’s you
who inspired my writing
with a rocking chair;
It’s you
who filled my comment box
with words apt and bright,
It’s you
who painted this part of sky
with rainbow and sunlight;
It’s you
who inspired me
how to have fun,
It’s you
who showed me
how to turn water into wine;
It’s you
Who fed my soul
with motivation and education.
It’s you
Who demonstrated to me that
loving your enemy leads to relaxation.

Happy Thursday!

30 poems in 30 days-Day 23

Am I supposed to be full of rage

simply because challenges intend to doom?

No, not someone at my age,

Words won’t sweep my dreams to a tomb,

I know I have to watch for sighs,

Someone stay high with showing breast,

Others get attention with neat thighs,

I’m myself, not melting in the west,

I won’t be mad

When people send me their blues,

I do enjoy wearing a skirt with pattern plaid,

And a comfortable pair of  shoes.

I fear nothing, if I fail,

I won’t wail in the mail.

NaPoWriMo: http://www.napowrimo.net/ (Day  23)

Today’s prompt is to write a bouts-rimes. The bouts-rimes is a sort of poetic parlor game: you write a poem using the rhyming end words from another poem. They’re usually done with sonnets in English. So today we are asked to write a bouts-rimes sonnet, using the end words from either K. Silem Mohammad’s poemYou White White Teatime Teen, which was itself constructed anagrammatically from Shakespeare’sSonnet VI, or from Robert Frost’s The Silken Tent. So my end words are the following, I wrote my poem in 5 minutes, trying to end up with the requested words.

rage, doom, age, tomb , sighs, breast, thighs, west, mad, blues, plaid, shoes, fail, mail

Higgledy, piggledy,

Thomas Edison,

Inventor of light bulbs, after that

Life is brighter

Than the time we use candles.

Extraordinary,

It is absolutely necessary

To honor such life’s fighter.

30 poems in 30 days-Day 21

NaPoWriMo: http://www.napowrimo.net/ (Day 19, 20, 21)

Days have gone by,

I thought about continuing to write,

But could not figure out how,

and not sure  why,

The sun has gone for a hide,

The muses have deserted me now,

I guess I will let time fly,

not to force myself to try,

I’m glad to be a free cat, “Meow!”

30 Poems in 30 Days-Day 17: I Dreamed A Dream

I dreamed a dream

what can it mean?

Thoughts float down the memories stream,

I hope to see the ocean!

.

Past events flash in my mind,

Some sour,

Some kind,

I’m here to share many of my favorite  hour.
