On Polluted Water

Fish cannot survive on polluted water,

Despite how wide the water spreads,

They cannot breathe, which does matter,

In space mixed with poisonous seaweeds.

.

The drive to live need not to pretend,

Troubled waters need to be cleaned,

Fish cannot survive on polluted water,

Despite how wide the water spreads.

.

No longer can we nearly live with no error,

Uncertainty leads to hollow grace,

I saw it in the mirror,

I saw it in my face.

Fish cannot survive on polluted water.

In The City of My Birth (4 Thursday Poets Rally Week 40)

In the city of my birth,
Folks are passionate about the game of chess,
Why do they love this?
No one knows, I guess.
#
Uneasy things always exist on earth,
Subjective takes only make things worse,
What’s wrong, what’s right,
It’s tricky to decide!
#
Walk pass the shadows that haunt,
I hear the voice of my aunt:
“Do your own part alright,
grace your faith, No fight.”

Vegetables Are Decent Food

Vegetables are decent food,

Eating them regularly shall do you good:

Cucumbers and tomatoes can be eaten raw,

Add garlic and ginger roots in claw.

Squash and watermelon are cool to your skin,

Tulips and carrots are fine to you and your kin,

Green onions kill germs, yams,

Broccoli and cauliflower bring no harms.

Nothing is life is accidental,

Stay fit, physical and mental.

I love plucking eggplants from the stem,

That’s how I remember them
