Sunday Scribbling (Story)

Blue Monday

Carry On Tuesday

*****

As I travel along the icy road,

I feel the pushes following behind,

Plus attractions with waving hand,

Which way to turn and go,

It’s hard to tell.

No matter what decision I make,

There will be lessons in every mistake,

Being hopeful and positive is one thing,

Dealing with disputes and disagreements is another story.

Humility and harmony are pivotal,

Words of encouragements are special.

I love life and people,

Life and people love me also.

No shortcuts,

No regret,

Take the path following my guts,

I shall cherish aimless passions I get.

  13. This is so true. And we have to follow our gut and make a decision and so something. Not to do something is to do something by default.

Well done, Ji, and fits all the memes. Good for you. Happy Potluck ….

  14. Isn’t that the truth. No matter the journey’s in life there are good and bad attached to them. The most we can do is continue on and hope the seeds we plant will grow great things.

As always I enjoy traveling this way.

    Happy Blue Monday, Jingle.

  27. that’s the best way to travel-open mind and open heart!

  28. Very nicely done – and yes, the open road is best faced with a taste for adventure!

One idea that might strengthen (sorry if I’m overstepping bounds here): I would consider changing “regret” to “regrets” to match “shortcuts” and then change “guts” to “gut” as in, your own feelings rather than… you know, the yucky stuff inside!!!

Anyway, you truly conveyed that sense of abandon. Congrats!

  30. The pushes and pulls on our journeys, which road to take, and to learn from mistakes, which maybe doesn’t make them mistakes at all, unless we do it twice.

  31. A true travel poem with many layered meanings…great!
